“By seeing London, I have seen as much of life as the world can show”

There goes the first one...

Imogen, the other intern, finished her internship today. She had only a 3 week placement. It was so nice having her here, I'm quite bummed that she's gone. We will definitely be meeting up again before I leave, but work is going to be so much different now. Much more boring. Quieter. I anticipate it going back to being a bit lonely.

But as it seems like her internship flew by, I know mine will too. My first day is still a crystal clear memory, and I only have 16 more days of work after today. I will only be spending 2 more weekends in the city after the upcoming 2 weekends of travel. Putting it in that context makes it seem like I have hardly any time left here, even though I know I still have a whole month. 29 full days, to be exact.

There is much to look forward to; Berlin this weekend and Paris next weekend will take me to countries I've never experienced before. I will be giving a presentation to the whole agency in a week and a half. And, of course, there's so much more London to see.

My evening tonight will be extraordinary brief, as Nargis and I are catching a train to the airport at 2:32am. I'll be taking a nap tonight then sleeping on the plane! Oh well, it's the only way to maximize our short weekend. Let the packing begin!
